MEET JORGE

Award-winning ribber, Jorge Gonzalez, found his calling in his homeland of Venezuela. With a diploma in culinary management, he founded Go Gonzalez BBQ in Ontario in 2013. He has since perfected his smoking and grilling technique, slathering his mouth-watering sauces and rubs across the lips of devoted customers, creating a demand that can only be met by – cloning himself?

Not likely, but duplicating his process all over Canada is a solid backup plan!

As a Ribfest groupie, Jorge and Go Gonzalez BBQ is a repeat winner, including 5 People’s Choice awards! Jorge is also a Triple Crown winner for best sauce, pulled pork, and ribs – Downsville Park, Toronto 2018, and Leamington 2019. He took first place in 2021 at the London Ribfest!

At his home location, Jorge serves up his prized smoked meats for hungry customers by the truckload. His freshly made cornbread puts the accent on his flavourful and delectable specialties every day.
